SUMMARY OF CERTIFIED MEDICATION AIDE (CMA) POSITION
Wheatridge Park Care Center is looking for a caring, compassionate and kind CMA.
We strive to provide care to our residents that exceeds industry standards and we are looking for a CNA that wants to join that mission!
The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for serving and caring for the elderly population, the desire to build a genuine rapport with those that they’re charged to care for and the ability to provide individualized, resident-centered basic nursing care and medication administration.
As a CMA, you may participate in our Career Step program and receive education assistance to advance your career toward positions with more responsibility, skill, and compensation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for proper medication dosage, medication monitoring and appropriate medication storage.
Administer medications within scope of practice and job description.
Assists residents with activities of daily living.
Maintains resident stability by checking vital signs and weight.
Provides residents with quality personal hygiene.
Provides resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials.
Answers residents’ call lights and requests and transports residents.
Reports observations of the resident to nursing supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid and active state-issued CNA and CMA certification
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards, federal and state regulations
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated dependability and punctuality
