Precision Technology Technicians
for multiple locations throughout western Kansas.
We are excited to have a new role within American Implement! A Precision Technology Technician (PTT) will work closely with customers to support their farming and ranching operations through service on the electrical and mechanical components of their equipment.
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide technology service repairs, call support diagnostics, utilization, and optimization for the sale and support of solutions enabled by the John Deere Precision Ag strategy and other aligned technology and applications.
Perform in-field services as required to support the customer and dealership.
COMPENSATION:
Full time, non-exempt position
Base hourly wage ranges between $27-35, depending on experience
Eligible for overtime and incentive

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Service
Develops and executes precision agricultural agendas to ensure ongoing mainstreaming across all departments at the dealership.
Help coordinate execution of the dealerships John Deere strategy (Machine and Logistics Optimization, and Ag Decision Support/Service).
Perform basic diagnostics, repairs, and support on agricultural machine and equipment utilizing John Deere ISG/AMS products.
Maintain knowledge on existing products and pursue additional technical and product knowledge by actively participating in the training programs of the dealership.
This includes manufacturer training and on-the-job training.
Promotes and supports myjohndeere.
com, utilizing wireless data and data management within the Operation Center.
Support
Provides technical assistance for machine-down issues like identifying “root cause” of customer issues and identifying failed components.
Perform optimization on equipment and configuration of universal and integrated technology components upon customer needs.
Support "Users’ group" for customers to get together, share info and best practices, and a time for the dealer to provide "mass" training to users of known issues occurring in-the-field.
Clinics/Training
Delivers necessary technical training to aftermarket departments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1+ years of experience performing service repairs.
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
Experience in Agriculture and Agronomy knowledge
Dealership sales, service, training, or other related work experience preferred.
Proficient knowledge of Integrated Solutions, Data Management (IT) and wireless communication systems.
Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and Internet functions.
Solid organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
Ability to operate with a solutions approach and identify existing/emerging customer’s needs.
Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store/customer locations within seasonal peak times.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching overhead.
Must be able to regularly lift up to 75 lbs.

Position also requires grasping with both hands, pushing and pulling, working around moving machinery, driving a vehicle, extensive hours on a computer, hearing normal tones, speaking, and seeing.
