To provide leadership and accountability in the strategic and daily operations of the clinical service.
Developing and maintains excellent physician and associate relations, accountable for the quality of patient care provided by the nursing service.
Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all functions of the service to include quality, administrative, and financial outcomes.
Oversees the delivery of patient care and has the responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice for the service and the nursing professional practice for Centura as a whole.
Assure achievement of department, nursing division and hospital goals as well as adherence to hospital policies and standards set forth by accreditation and regulatory agencies.
May provide leadership over other departments that collaborate with nursing for care of the patients served.
The OB Post-Partum department at St.
Catherine Hospital consists of 12 LDRP, one triage, one OR suite, four pediatric rooms and seven open bay NICU Level II rooms.
This consists of three different units: L&D, pediatrics and NICU.
We treat pregnant women, pediatric patients from two to 17 days, 32 weeks gestational to 40 weeks for NICU.
This department is desirable as it is a rural, main hub, where caregivers get to see and do almost anything.
We are very hands-on when taking care of patients.
Span of control 250 head count and/or specialty alignment.
May carry between 4 to 6 leaders as direct reports.
Between 4 to 8 cost centers reporting.
Reports to CNO/VP Patient Care Services Physical Requirements: Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs.
force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs.
frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs.
constantly Qualifications: In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: 4 years progressive clinical leadership experience required.
Experience in acute care preferred.
