Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with medical procedures, such as wound care, catheter insertion, and medication administration
- Document patient information in electronic health record systems (Cerner, eClinicalWorks)
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of durable medical equipment (DME)
- Ensure proper sterilization and processing of medical instruments and supplies
- Assist with gastric lavage and airway management procedures
- Provide support to patients with behavioral health needs or special needs
- Experience working with children is preferred
