Duties:
- Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with special needs, including but not limited to ostomy care, spinal tap procedures, and neonatal ventilator management.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical staff.
- Assist with ambulatory surgery center procedures and provide post-operative care.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth.
Skills:
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge in specialized areas such as ostomy care, sonography, and toddler care.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Proficiency in operating medical equipment, including lifts for patient transfers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make critical decisions in emergency situations.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in the state of [Location]
