POSITION SUMMARY The Onboarding & Enrollment Representative shall assist or collaborate with prospective patients in a linguistically and culturally sensitive manner to achieve patient goals through engagement, education, and promotion of our services.
The Onboarding and Enrollment Representative is responsible for providing enrollment assistance so that uninsured children and adults may access subsidized, low-cost, and free health insurance programs through Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), the hospital's free care program(s) as well as the health center's sliding fee scale.
Participates in patient education activities distributes outreach materials to raise awareness about coverage options and promotes the mission and services of the G.

organization.
Educate patients about their healthcare coverage options.
Collaborates with local organizations to build awareness, spur enrollment, and build referral linkages.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs outreach and assists consumers with completing applications for health coverage per standards and provides unbiased and accurate information on Qualified Health Plan (Q.
H.

) options to support consumers in choosing the health plan that is the best fit for their needs.
Provides support and communicates local program activities.
The O&E representative serves as a G.
F.
H.
liaison to our community organizations, medical facilities, and health professionals.
Keeps current on ongoing changes to the public healthcare system and communicates this information to patients and partners while maintaining expertise in eligibility, enrollment, and program specifications.
Complete new patient registration and annual renewal, including all mandatory UDS data measurements.
Validate insurance eligibility using online systems to verify the patient's insurance status.
Gather, and scan all necessary documentation to the patient account.
Assist patients with completing financial assistance applications and application renewals based on established policies and procedures and maintain documentation to support each process step through to application approval or denial.
Screen patients for programs they may qualify for based on established criteria depending on the program, including G.

slide discounts and payment plan options.
All required documentation must be available from the patient's account in a timely manner.
Understand benefits and obtain required Prior Authorization from Managed Care Plan for relevant/necessary services—for example, O.
B.
patients, behavioral health, and other specialties.
Responds efficiently and timely to all patient and provider staff needs and inquiries.
The O&E representative will ensure excellent customer service to all G.
F.
H.
stakeholders.
Ensures HIPAA compliance by maintaining strict confidentiality of all patient data and E.

Contact patients via phone calls, text, postcards, or letters for: Medical re-determination Initial Health Assessment Clinical Care Measures Managed care patients to return for a clinic visit Remains informed of: Current legal and regulatory changes related to the scope of practice Specific programs/payors, insurances accepted, and services offered at G.
F.
H.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma required (or G.
E.
D.
equivalent) Requires exceptional organizational, writing, and verbal communication skills Computer literate, must (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) FQHC experience is highly preferred Excellent analytical skills Motivation to take the initiative to ensure completion of all tasks performed thoroughly and accurately Motivated and committed to the provision of high-quality healthcare for indigent and underserved communities Willingness to adapt to changes concerning the agency's growth and expansion Ability to function self-sufficiently, requiring little supervision This position requires a commitment to the mission & vision of Genesis Family Health Care Centers.
OTHER DUTIES: Will assist in the preparation of various reports related to outreach and grant activities.
Attends continuing education conferences, workshops, and in-services as scheduled or required by immediate supervisor to maintain up-to-date knowledge and awareness regarding pertinent topics.
Shall maintain files, reports, activity & scheduling logs, and documents in an orderly manner for immediate retrieval and reference.
Demonstrate working well with others in a professional and team-oriented environment.
The O&E position requires well-developed interpersonal skills, a friendly personality, and the ability to motivate staff by promoting teamwork.
The O&E representative must be able to relate to the public regardless of ethnicity, religion, and economic status.
