The Patient Care Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Optometry office and providing exceptional administrative support to our patients and optical professionals.
Responsibilities: - Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment - Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar - Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients - Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations - Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality - Assist with billing and coding processes - Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed - Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow - Provide exceptional customer service and address patient concerns or issues Qualifications: - Previous experience in a office setting preferred, but training will be provided - Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures a bonus - Knowledge of some office software applications (e.
