More Information about this Job: CLINICAL EDUCATION SPECIALIST/OUTREACH EDUCATOR *This position supports Western Kansas Operations, hybrid work locations $75000.

00 / year We're hiring a Clinical Education Specialist/Outreach Educator to manage and support the day-to-day functions of our Western Kansas region operations team.
This person will work with teams to create, update, and apply clinical guidelines, and serve as a consultant to leaders and the business.
Responsibilities: Assist in the development of an orientation program and a system of continuing education.
Actively participate in and/or develop a process for the evaluation and/or selection of equipment.
Develop education process to include course objectives, examinations, and manuals for use as lesson plans.
Conduct orientation classes, ACLS/PALS initial and renewal courses, CPR/AED/First Aid initial and renewal courses, and BLS instructor and renewal courses.
Work with local physician advisory groups.
Participate in clinical aspects of problem resolution.
Oversee any clinical requirements related to contracts, agreements, etc.
Track and review events in response to complaints and/or compliments relating to clinical performance.
Conduct investigations immediately upon receiving information regarding a possible protocol or standard of care violation.
In most cases, investigations should be completed within 72 hours f the initial report.
Document findings in writing and provide timely briefings to the Operations Manager on incidents and investigations.
Responsible for overseeing tracking and maintenance of employee certifications and vaccinations in a database.
Identify, develop, and implement quality improvement (QI) programs.
To assure clinical excellence, programs should include, but are not limited to proactive and retrospective elements of QI concerning clinical call reviews, chart reviews, and trend analysis for individual and group clinical performance.
Such programs should drive the continuing education (CE) process and related courses offered to field personnel.
Represent AMR with local EMS education programs and assure integration with internship and preceptor needs.
Serve as a clinical resource for field and management personnel.
Assist in the creation/revision of medical policy, medical protocols, and SOPs.
Oversee clinical aspects of field performance.
Represent the Manager of Clinical and Education Services.
Participate in scheduling third riders.
Coordinate evaluations for local paramedic school candidates.
Schedule continuing education programs pertinent to field education needs.
Work with other CES Coordinators to ensure standardization of CES programs throughout the service areas.
Review completed patient care reports for accuracy.
Provide clinical support for documentation and billing personnel.
Participate in appeals processes from a clinical perspective.
Other Responsibilities: Remain current with: state and local EMS and state nursing requirements; accredidation requirements; and policies, and procedures.
Maintains Instructor status for standardized courses as mutually agreed upon.
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR's image and establish strong community relations.
Ensure curricula are current according to American Heart Association standards and current evidence-informed practice.
Coordinate program courses as assigned.
Provide supervision of skill labs and serve as a lab instructor as needed.
Maintain accurate records and files of courses, students, and programs.
Evaluate student progress and provide feedback and counseling on a regular basis in accordance with AHA standards.
Document problems as they arise.
Provide limited tutoring as requested.
Assist in other educational programs as requested.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
Associate degree preferred.
Valid driver's license.
NREMT certification preferred.
Experience in supervision of instructional staff preferred.
3 years of experience in the direct delivery of pre-hospital advanced life support as a Paramedic or Emergency Nurse.
The following certifications are required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment: AHA BLS Instructor AHA ACLS Instructor PHTLS or ITLS Instructor Certification as a Paramedic in the state of Kansas Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas Why Choose AMR?
