Job Description:
Frontier Feedyard is 1 of 10 Cactus Feeders Feedyard locations based in Spearman, Texas.
Our team is seeking a Shop Manager to serve as the Lead Mechanic within the Yard R&M Department.
A good candidate for the role would be goal orientated, motivated, and skilled in the maintenance and repairs of vehicles/machinery.
Job Responsibilities:
Adhere by all OSHA safety rules and regulations regarding shop operations and safety
Inspect vehicles and machinery for maintenance and repairs (oil changes, tire care, etc.
)
Perform daily housekeeping duties of the shop and upkeep feedyard facilities
Work in a timely and efficient manner
Work in a fast-paced environment
Manage the shop and Yard R&M employees
Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Stand for 8-10 hours a day
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience (preferred)
Quick learner with the ability to adapt
Team player with the ability to communicate effectively with others
