JOB PURPOSE
As the feed mill supervisor, you will be responsible for compiling personnel assignment schedules and overseeing the operations of the Feedmill and Delivery Departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
Review all daily usage, inventory, and investigates and correct all discrepancies.
Learn and understand the flow of all materials, incoming and out-going, and the standard operating
procedures of all areas of the Feedmill.
Train appropriate hourly workers in their assigned work/production duties including cross training.
Establish or adjust work procedures to meet plant or production schedules.
Recommend measures to improve mill and transportation production methods, equipment performance
and quality of service and carry out any needed corrective action.
Assure worker issues/problems are resolved in timely fashion.
Timely and accurate documentation of all issues associated with proper administration of department.
Maintain collaborative working relationship with supervisors, peers, subordinates, internal and external
customers.
Prepare various reports and delegates appropriate duties to subordinate employees.
Lead crew to achieve optimal production while maintaining output of quality product.

REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required.
B.
S.
degree in Feed Science preferred.
Four or more years' related experience.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to make decisions on routine matters utilizing company policies and procedures and directions from upper management.
Must have good analytical and logistical skills.
Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
