Job Responsbilities:
Provides leadership and accountability in the daily operations of the Surgical Services and Women's Services Departments.
Includes developing and maintaining physician relations, empowering clinical care givers through solicitation of input, and implementation of actions to improve delivery of patient care.
Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the provision of services in the department.
Participates in and/or supervises the delivery of patient care, as necessary, and has the responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice for the service.
Assures achievement of department goals and takes an active role in achievement of hospital goals as they relate to the operations department.
Assures adherence to hospital policies and standards set forth by accreditation and regulatory agencies.
Available to support the clinical needs of the department by providing staffing support as volume
and acuity demand.

Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs.

Qualifications:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Education Requirements:
- Certification in Specialty required within 1 year of hire or transfer role.
- Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing BSN required only if Masters degree is not in Nursing.
- MSN or other Master’s degree required.
Minimum Requirements:
- 4 years progressive clinical leadership experience required.
Experience in Acute Care preferred
