Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team.
As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting US Mail to its designated locations.
This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Clean MVR, pass FBI clearance and random drug testing.
Must be 23 years of age or older.
Responsibilities:
- Operate box trucks
- Load and unload US Mail using pallet jacks and other equipment
- Ensure the safe and timely delivery of products to Post Offices
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs and delivery receipts
- Provide exceptional customer service by forwarding any and all inquiries or concerns to supervisor or management
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably with experience in operating various types of vehicles
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is preferred, but not mandatory
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading
- Must be able to pass a background check with no felonies, as you will be going onto US Government property
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical
- Must be able to pass a drug test
