Customer Service Representative

*Customer Service Representative* Valley State Bank is currently accepting applications for a part time or full time Customer Service Representative at our Garden City Branch.
Their primary roles include but are not limited to the following responsibilities: *Responsibilities:* * Answer customer questions about basic banking services, such as account types, balances, interest rates and fees.
* Ensure exceptional customer experience * Responsible for processing routine account transactions.
This may include cashing checks, depositing money, withdrawals and collecting loan payments.
* Have the knowledge to be able to help customers with problems concerning all areas of their accounts such as account discrepancies, and reissuing compromised debit and credit cards.
* Assist in processing transactions with accounts and loans * Achieves goals as established by Valley State Bank * Assist in other departments as needed by management *Job Requirements* * High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in finance or a related field is a plus.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Basic knowledge of banking operations and products.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Customer-centric attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Prior customer service or retail experience is preferred but not required.
The compensation for this position consists of a base salary or hourly wage along with a competitive benefits package to include medical, dental, life, paid holidays and vacation and participation in our company-sponsored 401K plan.
Compensation is based on experience.
