ABOUT THE POSITION
The Full-Time Cashier position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, completing customer transactions, cleaning the food or stock areas, and maintaining inventory.
A description of the duties includes:
Provides excellent customer service and promotes products and services to customers;
Effectively operates C-store equipment such as fuel console, cash register, beverage dispensing machines, coolers, etc.

Follows operating procedures as outlined by supervisors;
Responsible for accurate balancing of the cash drawer and daily deposits, daily sales and inventory;
Performs a variety of kitchen related tasks and stocks shelves;
Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperature of products;
Practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies with HACCP standards;
Responsible for ensuring cleanliness of the C-store and exterior of fuel facility is neat, clean, and in good condition; and report to supervisor any issues that may need resolution;
Exhibits sufficient computer skills;
Provides excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations; responding promptly to customer needs, resolving questions, complaints and concerns immediately and meeting commitments;
Effectively communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees and management;
Maintains and promotes safety awareness; follows safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements;
Understands and complies with all state and federal regulations;
Ability to work schedules that vary with prompt and regular attendance;
Present a clean and professional appearance;
Employee is required to perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position requires basic computer operation skills.
Able to frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds.
Ability to work schedules that vary (including some nights or weekends) with prompt and regular attendance.
