We have an exciting position as a Payroll Clerk in our accounting department at our Guymon, Oklahoma processing facility.
Obtains financial data and carries out basic tasks and duties associated with the payroll processing requirements of a plant processing plant with more than 2600 employees as directed by management.
Assignments are routine in nature and are carried out by general instructions and established procedures under the direction of an accounting supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
Perform basic data entry tasks, including data verification, and aid in the completion of compiling/finalizing weekly payroll processes.
Uses an elementary understanding of numerical concepts to perform mathematical operations such as report analysis under supervision.
Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments
Effectively communicates, written and verbally, responding timely to questions from supervisors and managers resolving problems, and troubleshooting
Meets daily/weekly deadlines with regards to payroll
Ability to manipulate and maintain Excel spreadsheets and interpret a variety of instructions
Has a general understanding of basic accounting and fills in for other positions within the accounting department

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or two years accounting / bookkeeping experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Accounting experience desirable, including financial reporting, payroll, billing, or invoicing
Bilingual; English and Spanish preferred but not required
Proficient in Microsoft Office products primarily Excel
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the operations and payroll schedule
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment includes a normal office environment as well as climate extremes found in all areas of live operations.
Incumbents may be required to travel to farm sites, remote facilities, and/or corporate offices for training.
The noise level in the work environment is usually very quiet.
The noise level may sometimes be very loud when visiting other departments.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management.
After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
