Staff Accountant

Seeking Staff Accountant to be responsible for financial statement preparation and the preparation of a variety of individual and business tax returns.
This position includes direct client contact with the ability to work independently with appropriate oversight.
*Responsibilities:* * Tax preparation * Financial statement preparation * Business consulting * Assist/Troubleshoot with bookkeeping * Assist/Troubleshoot with payroll * IRS Notice/ Audit compliance * Estate planning * Trust planning * Business Valuation *Requirements:* * CPA or CPA eligible * Minimum bachelor’s degree, Master of Tax preferred * 1-3 years public accounting experience * Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills and the ability to effectively balance speed and accuracy.
* Work independently and be success oriented * Ability to work as a part of team, when needed * Ability to work with a variety of software packages is a plus, tax software Lacerte * Tax compliance experience with individuals, partnerships, corporations and non-profits * Experience researching complex tax issues and preparing the necessary notes and memos.
Confident working with clients.
